Brian Baas, PT
Brian earned his Physical Therapy degree from Fresno State University in 1992 and has been providing patient care, practice management, and clinical development since that time. Brian is the CFO and co-developer/co-owner of Western Physical Therapy, Inc., a growing organization of outpatient physical therapy practices, and is currently in an administrative and leadership role for Loomis Physical Therapy. He is involved in community outreaches, providing basketball coaching for area schools, and enjoys developing physical therapy programs. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters playing basketball, golfing, wake surfing, and cycling.
Anthony Gravin, DPT
Anthony is originally from Sacramento, CA. He grew up participating avidly in athletics, ultimately focusing on football and rugby throughout college. He attended CSU Sacramento for undergrad, earning his BS in Biology before attending The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) for his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. During his coursework at UIC, Anthony became interested in orthopedic manual, “hands-on” physical therapy and clinical concepts of pain. This interest resulted in multiple research opportunities at University of Illinois Hospital and Health Science Systems focusing on the changes that occur within the nervous system with chronic pain and how manual therapy can help to reverse these changes. Following completion of his Physical Therapy degree, Anthony worked in an orthopedic setting utilizing an Applied Functional Science approach to the treatment of common injuries which examines the entire body and kinetic chain for contributions to his patient’s pain. In his free time, Anthony enjoys the outdoors and is excited to explore the California landscape after spending 4 years in Chicago.
Sean Fernald, PTA
Sean enjoys working with a variety of patient populations with orthopedic injuries and related dysfunctions, including both operative and non-operative treatments for the spine and extremities. He believes the best rehab comes from tailoring treatments to the individual and empowering patients through manual therapy, education, postural corrections, and exercise to overcome injuries and help patients reach their highest potential. Sean graduated from Carrington College in Pleasant Hill, CA becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant. Prior to attending Carrington, Sean trained for a year at the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville where he graduated as a Certified Massage Therapist and Health Educator. Sean continues to improve his manual and therapeutic skills by taking continuing education classes whenever he can. Sean has been involved in athletics since he was young – most notably golf. Sean received his first set of clubs when he was 2 years old and has had trouble putting them down ever since. Sean also has a passion for Football (49ers), hiking, traveling and cooking.
Rose, PT Tech
Rose is a Northern California native. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Simpson University and attended Sierra College for an additional degree in Health Sciences. Rose has over 4 years of experience in the Physical Therapy field. She greatly enjoys her role as a Physical Therapy Technician which includes setting patients up on modalities and assisting with their exercises to aide them in their recovery. In her free time she enjoys hiking and traveling.
Katy, PT Tech
Katy was born in Monterey, California. She received her BS in Exercise Science and Health from the University of Idaho in May of 2019. For the past five years Katy has studied the importance of being physically active with proper nutrition under Doctoral and National Academy of Sports Medicine guidelines.
Katy has experienced physical therapy herself in order to rehabilitate from sports related injuries as well as lifting injuries. From these experiences Katy has come to understand the importance of maintaining proper physical therapy regimens. She is currently in the process of receiving her certification in Corrective Exercise from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Katy loves her job as a Physical Therapy Technician, which includes setting patients up on modalities and guiding their exercises to help them progress in their recovery.
In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her family.
Nicole was born in Utah, but lived in Southern California, Texas, and Nevada before moving to Northern California. Nicole graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in English. As a former patient herself, Nicole understands and appreciates the benefits of physical therapy. Her favorite part of being a receptionist is getting to know the patients and watching them reach their goals.
